Travel Poetry

Bickering, overbites, and toast
green everywhere we look
Into a new looking glass
traveling we pretend

Fresh flowers, money-talk, fancy dress
the purple-mauve matriarch
extra-long cigarette
Into an elephant bowl

Too bad, tough luck
your sore butt can’t help you
Tis not the end
We have wifi access

Magic coffee, old friends, fruit bowl
too many laptops
despite intestinal distress
two cuddly cats remain afoot
